This Caterpillar is black with a pattern of parallel yellow lines and red spots. It feeds on plants in the family FABACEAE.

The adult moth can be dark grey or brown with striking black lines. It folds its wings across its back rather than spreading them out flat like many other Geometrid moths do.

The eggs are pale yellow, smooth, and squarish. They are laid in a row along the edge of a leaf.
