The Caterpillar of this species is a pest, attacking:
Guava ( Psidium guajava,
MYRTACEAE ), and
Victorian Laceflower ( Thryptomene calycina,
MYRTACEAE ).
The adult moth is brown with a complex and subtle pattern on the forewings.
The wingspan is about 2 cms.
Control is being attempted using :
Phosphine,
Pyrethrum, and
Dichlorvos.
The species occurs in:
Fiji, and
New Zealand,
and in Australia in:
New South Wales,
Tasmania, and
Western Australia.
