Strepsicrates ejectana

The Caterpillar of this species is a pest, attacking:

  • Guava ( Psidium guajava, MYRTACEAE ), and
  • Victorian Laceflower ( Thryptomene calycina, MYRTACEAE ).

    The adult moth is brown with a complex and subtle pattern on the forewings. The wingspan is about 2 cms.

    Control is being attempted using :

  • Phosphine,
  • Pyrethrum, and
  • Dichlorvos.

    The species occurs in:

  • Fiji, and
  • New Zealand,

    and in Australia in:

  • New South Wales,
  • Tasmania, and
  • Western Australia.
