Asota plagiata

These Caterpillars are dark brown with white markings. The Caterpillars feed on :

  • Morton Bay Fig ( Ficus macrophylla, MORACEAE ).

    The adult moths have brown forewings with a pale veins and a white spot in the middle. The hindwings are orange with black markings. The moths have a wingspan of about 5 cms.

    This species may be found in the northern half of Australia, including

  • Brisbane,
  • Townsville, and
  • Mackay.
