(updated 17 February 2008)

The adults of this species have forewings that are half orange and half red. Their hindwings are also pale orange with a red rear margin.

The moths rest naturally in a flat triangular pose, with the head lifted high and the tail low, like a Concord aircraft about to take off. They have a wingspan of about 2 cms.

This species is common in Sydney and Melbourne.
