The caterpillars of this species have been found feeding on the leaves of:
The adult moth is brown with a bold zig-zag pattern in shiny white and rusty brown on the forewings. The hindwings are a uniform brown. The wingspan is about 2 cms.

The eggs are flat and laid patially overlapped in round groups of approximately a dozen.
