These Caterpillars have been found in webs on the flowers and leaves, and also living inside :

  • galls caused by a rust fungus Uromycladium tepperianum ( UREDINALES )

    on various Wattles ( MIMOSACEAE ), including :

  • Cootamundra Wattle ( Acacia baileyana ),
  • Silver Wattle ( Acacia dealbata ),
  • Bark Wattle ( Acacia decurrens ), and
  • Late Black Wattle ( Acacia mearnsii ).

    The adult moths have cryptically patterned forewings and plain off-white hindwings. The wingspan is about 1 cm.

    The species has been found in southern Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and Tasmania.
